When it comes to leaked info from Marvel's 'The Avengers,' the hits just keep on coming. Two new images have just been released from Joss Whedon's blockbuster superhero hodgepodge due out next summer. The first image is the better of the two, showing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans) engaged in battle in the middle of the street. The second image is not lacking in and of itself, that of Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) soaring through the sky, but it looks identical to one of the featured moments in the trailer so the effect is somewhat lessened seeing it in still form. Take a gander at the images below and tell us what you think.

'The Avengers' hits theaters May 4, 2012

@MavenCree
It's not a hammer, it's his lunch box with an odd handle!

Is Thor``s hammer supposed to be the size of his head, or is that just the camera angle

I think the armor is completely different, maybe a Mark 8 or 9. Since there's 3 versions to his armor, in both Iron Man movies ( Mark 6 was the last one to be used in IM2). The upgrades/differences are subtle when you see it in motion. Which is why, you shouldn't expect to see it in still images.

I didn't see the Captain America movie as yet. So was his helmet/cowl practical in that movie?  Because I think, this is just a sign of sensible marketing. They already got the fans and those in the geek bubble. Showing more cowl-less Evans and Banner Ruffalo, is to get those who are new to the series etc.  Also, not much of a avid Captain America fan. But doesn't everyone know who he is, hence why it's no biggie when his mask is off in the comics.

Guys, the costumes and armour need to be slightly different so that there's always a new action figure to sell!

Something that annoys me about Captain America is that they keep finding every excuse to show him with his mask off. That, coupled with Mark Ruffalo's weird GQ-esque duck face on the Entertainment Weekly cover is sending bad vibes my way.  You rarely, if ever, see Batman (in the suit) without his cowl in publicity photos.  Even Iron Man seems to keep his helmet on more.

You guys must be stupid cause its actually not the same exact armor from Iron Man 2.

Yo know what would make a truly 'metal' scene? If they put in a point where Cap picks up Thor's hammer and uses it.

It's the same Iron man armor from IM2.
