Paramount Pictures has released two new clips from 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. Once again the action follows Sam Witwicky (Shia Lebeouf) as he helps Optimus Prime and the Autobots in their constant battle against the Decepticons. In recent interviews, director Michael Bay has promised that there will be less human interaction in the film and more focus on the Autobots and Decepticons, but unfortunately the first clip released has absolutely no Transformers in it and instead focuses on Sam and Carly, the new love interest...
...and the second clip still has no Transformers in it and focuses on Josh Duhamel and his military team that must "wing suit in" to the battlefield, a scene which Bay admitted to writing into the film solely because he saw a demonstration of the suits and liked how they looked:
Recently, Paramount held a small screening on their lot and showed small segments of the film to LA reviewers. Almost all the reviews for the footage have been favorable, saying that Bay has ratcheted up the action and that the 3D effects are spectacular (which is par for the course on a Michael Bay film). Whether this will be a return to form for the director, or whether this will be another action-packed disappointment like the last film still remains to be seen.
'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' stars Shia LeBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel and will be in theaters on July 1st.

Comment by The Dork Knight on May 20, 2011 at 1:08pm They better be confident about the movie if they have the balls to release 2 bullshit clips like this one.
(although i do have a feeling that the 3D will be pretty cool...the trailer alone in 3D looked trippy).
