Turkey Soup

I made broth from a turkey carckass last night. The hours started to drag on, and I was just too full of restless energy to get to sleep. Then about 4am or so, a sore throat became apparent.

This was not going to stop me. I had all the ingredients for the soup according to Grandma's recipe, except the carrots. And oh boy did soup sure sound good for my throat. Hungry too. I'd skipped dinner the night before because of a filling lunch.

So, I marched on down to the supermarket for a bag of carrots. On a cold day, walking there and back, with a sore throat, so tired I was walking like a zombie for a bit of it...

Totally worth it. My turkey soup is sooooo yummy. So now I'm here listening to LEOG, sipping down good rich broth. Life is good, or at least it can be. Man! That was a sappy line! lol
