The robots in disguise manage to stay in disguise.........at some times.

Transformers: Prime is the latest series based upon the Hasbro toy line airing at the Hub Network (owned by Discovery Communications & Hasbro, Inc.) and it is set different from the live-action Michael Bay movies and yes, I know some people has an hatred for the movies and in my opinion, the first one was decent, the second one was all horrible and I haven't seen the third one yet, but when I saw this series, I have a few choice words for this: I Absolutely Love This Fucking Show!!!!

This show is beyond awesome!! I'm not a hater of the Michael Bay films, but the series did right what the movies did horribly and failed at. The plot and storyline actually had something that's not just blowing up shit everywhere, the characters in the series was actually quite likable and it never lose focus on the real main characters: The Autobots and The Decepticons. The human characters was tolerant and not at all annoying (well, I get to that later) or completely useless, the humor is not that sophomoric and moronic, but very light but effective and the dialogue and action fit some perfectly throughout the show.

The showrunners are Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman (of Fringe, Hawaii Five-0 '10 & Star Trek '09 fame), who actually wrote the first 2 live-action movies and these guys actually brought the goods that made the series listed above great. This show can be enjoyed by those young and old and if you are really pissed at the live-action movies and Michael Bay in general, you like this show.

On to the characters. I will say this only one time. Peter Cullen was born to play Optimus Prime. Bar None. The ultimate badass who uses his wits, as well as, thought-out planning, forever in the battle with the Decepticons. As for the crew, its Autobots for the series include:

Bumblebee (Cool character but still can't speak. They'll explain it during the 2nd season)

Arcee (One of the best characters in the show considering she has been through a lot, but still manages to not slow her down)

Bulkhead (The muscle of the group)

& Ratchet (The medic for the team).

There were earlier teammates prior to the show, but I'm not gonna reveal any spoilers (unless you want me to.) if you haven't watch the series.

The Decepticons' are listed as Megatron (voice by Frank Welker), who is barely in the show that much, but he often continues to the evil antagonist we all know to love to hate. StarScream, the second-in-command, is mostly Megatron's flunky, but to me, as the series progresses, he really seem to get on my nerves and made me wish I was Optimus Prime and I fucked up StarScream the first few minutes, but he was portrayed well by Steven Blum (aka Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop & Mugen from Samurai Champloo). The rest include Knock Out, their medic and Soundwave, another silent character aside from Bumblebee. BTW, for those who are Firefly fans, Adam Baldwin & Gina Torres voices the Decepticons Breakdown & Airachnid, Bulkhead and Arcee's nemesis, respectively.

The human characters on this show......There's Jack Darby (16-year-old teenage boy/his guardian: Arcee), Miko Nakadai (15-year-old female Japanese exchange student/her guardian: Bulkhead) and Rafael "Raf" Esquivel (12-year-old computer whiz/his guardian: Bumblebee). They are not so bad, even though I find Miko the most annoying of the group, but she is more tolerable in this than you-know-who in the live action movies. *coughs Sam Witwicky coughs* These are no annoying parents in this, only Jack's mom (who I declare a MILF, that's right, this mom is oh so hot.) and that's it, pretty much. Oh, except the Special Agent Fowler (voiced by Ernie Hudson) who keeps an eye on the Autobots but better than the John Turturro character in the movies. One last important character, a group called MECH is hell-bent on destroying both Autobots and Decepticons and the leader is Silas (voiced by Clancy Brown, and no, I'm not gonna say Mr. Krabs.) and that's it for the human characters because the other ones, do you really care about them at all?

In short, this show is a must-see and one of my favorite shows on the Hub Network (next to My Little Pony: FiM, don't ask.)

in Spill.com terms, this is a High Full Price but since this isn't a movie, my own grade for this is THE KSA or

KING SEAL OF APPROVAL.The highest grade on my approval list.
