If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Once again a slurry of new trailers have been released to satiate your appetite until the official summer season begins. This time there are films of a much darker tone with demons, Frankenstein monsters, suicide attempts, and the struggle of a media empire.
IFC has released the first trailer for 'The Ledge' which stars Liv Tyler, 'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam and Terrance Howard. Gavin (Hunnam) is a young college professor who is standing on the ledge of a high-rise building determined to take his own life. Detective Hollis (Howard) comes on the scene to stop Gavin from taking his life, but learns that he's being forced to jump in order to save someone else's life. The thriller will be in theaters June 29th.
The first trailer for the action-horror film 'Frankenstein's Army' has been released. The film follows Russian soldiers during World War II who stumble upon a secret Nazi lab where Hitler is making one last desperate attempt at escaping defeat. They discover that scientists are running experiments based on the journal of Dr. Victor Frankenstein to create their own super soldier by stitching together body parts from their fallen comrades. The film is expected in theaters in 2012.
Out on June 24th, the documentary 'Page One: Inside The New York Times' follows the struggle of the "old school" print newspaper against the seemingly unstoppable onslaught of online media, while simultaneously celebrating The Times and it's history.
The director of '28 Weeks Later', Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, is releasing another thriller horror film titled 'Intruders'. The first teaser gives a glimpse of star Clive Owen and his family being terrorized by a demon. The film will be out later this year.
