With Easter quickly approaching (and the tendency of most studios to release their new trailers right before the weekend), we have a virtual cornucopia of new trailers that have cropped up recently. We've got indie dramas, nature documentaries, mockumentaries, and R-rated comedies. Enjoy!
First up is 'Another Earth' which stars William Mapother and Brit Marling. The film centers around a brilliant MIT astrophysics student (Marling) and a composer who has just reached the pinnacle of his profession (Mapother). Tragedy strikes on the eve of the discovery of a duplicate Earth which intertwines their lives. The drama will be in theaters July 22nd.
Disney's 'Chimpanzee' is a Disneynature Documentary that hopes to give us a closer look at the intelligent species. The documentary was shot over three years in the tropical jungles of the Ivory Coast in Uganda. The film will be released on Earth Day, 2012.
'Life in a Day' is a one-of-a-kind documentary comprised entirely of over 80,000 YouTube contributions on a single day. Showing what life was like on July 24th, 2010, the film serves as a time capsule for the YouTube generation. Kevin MacDonald directed the film with Ridley Scott as a producer.
From documentary to mockumentary we move on to 'The Troll Hunter' which is expected in theaters later this year. The Norwegian film follows a group of students who discover a government conspiracy to keep the existence of trolls hidden from the general public:
'Submarine' is a film presented by Ben Stiller and The Weinstein Company that centers around 15-year old Oliver Tate who has two goals: to save his parents marriage and to lose his virginity before his next birthday. Oliver attempts a relationship with Jordana, a self-professed pyromaniac. The quirky coming of age story will be in theaters June 3rd.
Sony Pictures is releasing the comedy '30 Minutes or Less' starring Aziz Ansari, Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride, and Nick Swardson. The story follows a young pizza delivery guy in a small town whose life collides with two wanna-be criminal master minds. The adventure-comedy will be in theaters August 12th.

Honestly, I still don't see what the Spill crew see in him. He's a one note guy and the one note annoys the hell out of me.

Is it just me, or does Jesse Eisenberg look like he's been hitting the gym.
