Comment by Luke Hero on April 2, 2012 at 12:12am Aqua Man movie would only be good if they did the Angry version of Aqua man...where he really doesn't give a shit about surface dwellers...The Flash would not work in my opinion just simply on the fact Flash's powers are not that great...And the way Flash can use his powers in animation and in comic books....might seem silly in a live action film(see Green Lantern)
Comment by Andrew Dixey on April 1, 2012 at 6:49am I'm looking forward to this but Sam Raimi covered so much ground so well, with the first two at least, that I just don't feel that sense of excitement I would otherwise feel if it was a 'new' superhero movie. I'm still waiting on Aqua Man and the The Flash :) Do them, and without the need to pull a Nolan and make at all dark and gritty!
Comment by CaptiveElegance on March 23, 2012 at 3:32pm It may be darker but I garantee it'll still be written better then the previous movies.
Yeah... I agree with the Spill team about being excited to see it. WITH the mechanical web shooters. I think Rami argued a high school'er wouldn't be able to design web shooters, or something(in Toby Mcguire's world....). In the more recent comics history Peter discovers an adhesive type chemical formula amongst his dad's old possessions, and manages to perfect it into the goop for his web shooters(partly from his genius intellect, and partly from new spider-like instincts). And there have been key moments throughout the Spider-Man story-arches, when running out of web fluid put him is dire straights. I seen it happen many times, and it only ADDED to the whole flavor of his stories and overall mythos. I also think I saw his belt light on display, briefly in the trailer. I always appreciate when they can tell the story/HIS-story, as authentically as possible. There shouldn't be any need to alter the history of a character, for any reason. Its all in the director and how well HE can bring to life, stories that were ALREADY excellent in comic book form........ Ya' live up to the vision of the characters, and the age loved story behind it all.
Well honestly, "The Ultimate Spider-man" comics are my favorite and they have realistic and dark tones.
@George Doctanian. Could just be the advertising. Spiderman has to live with the guilt and sadness everyday of losing a parent due to not taking up his "great responsibility"
Comment by Pazma on March 7, 2012 at 8:56pm His name isn't pronounced Ifans like Eyefans it's Ifans as in IF you don't get it right I'll do absolutely nothing.
Comment by George Doctanian on March 2, 2012 at 3:51am This movie will suck. I think it's trying to be more like the Dark Knight and that simply won't work. The Dark Knight was a masterpiece because it incorporated everything people loved about Batman. The deranged villains, depressing concepts and themes, and overall gritty feel. Spiderman has, and always has been more upbeat and charismatic. To take away that is like taking sugar out of cake.
