If it's crap... We'll tell you

I was just looking through my page and noticed that it has been a while since I last posted anything up. And so, I've decided to post a review of trailers for upcoming movies this year.

Grown Ups
This seems like another comedy movie with big well known comedic actors, such as Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock, Kevin James and , of courseRob Schneider . Seeing as how its got these guys in this, Rock and Sandler in particular, it has got to be at least a decent enough comedy and could very well be pretty good. The story is basically five guys that were really close friends in their childhood and now have come to meet some decades later. Now they get to catch up with their families and most likely some comedy ensues. Seeing Spade in this was kind of a surprise because I haven't been aware that he is still doing movies (I thought he was rich enough and surrounded with hot broads), and I actually like the guy. Kevin James seems to be playing to the more physical humor here as presented in the trailer (really ouch by the way!), but it could still work. Good old Rob Schneider is in this Sandler movie too, so he must play another weird or stand out character, and it looks he's going for the GILF thing. You can see where this is going. Grossy.... This movie comes out June 25, 2010, check it out, I think I will.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
I have actually seen this trailer some time back and thought it was going to be a Disney ripoff of Harry Potter. But when the trailer showed that it was directed by Chris Columbus (and they are advertising this fact), I wanted to learn more about this movie. The trailer shows some kid getting into an elevator and up to the top floor of the Empire State Building (which I realized takes place in America). And then *BING*! Doors open and reveals to be what looks like Mount Olympus, and then I was like, "Zeus lives on the top of the ESB?!" And that is when Chris Columbus' name pops out to reveal another adventure from the director of the first two Harry Potter films. When I saw the kid, that's when I got an impression that this was probably a Disney movie because he looked like those Disney channel High School Musical kids(I can't FREAKING believe I just typed those words). And that kid is Logan Lerman, who will be playing the title role of Percy Jackson, whom I found out is not one of those bastard kids. He's Batman's kid in 3:10 to Yuma. This movie is based on some fantasy adventure book series called Percy Jackson & The Olympians and will be due February 12, 2010.

A Single Man
This trailer plays on with a somewhat mysterious and dark foreboding music throughout the whole time and it gives it that feeling too. It stars Colin Firth and Julianne Moore and it shows both their characters being probably a couple, going though events in there lives, with happiness, love, hate maybe, and anger. Judging from their clothes, cars and sets that this might take place in the 50's or 60's. At some points, it has Colin Firth under dark blue water and then rising up to bloodied looking waters, which could mean something about his character presenting a deep hidden side that rises to a violent or tragic event. And the occasional pop ups of quotes from reviews of film critics tell about what they think of the film and how it may be Oscar worthy. Which looks like it, but this is also the debut film of the director, Tom Ford, who is already a famous American fashion designer. I will be looking forward to this one for sure.(And for some reason, this trailer reminds me of There Will Be Blood a little bit)

Ok, so its pretty late for me now and I couldn't comment on the last two trailers but I still thought these two were worth putting up because they seemed interestingly good. so enjoy and hope you have.
