Trailer Parody: 'The Lion King Rises'
I like trailer parodies, especially those that mash-up two very different films, but they don't always work. However, I am sort of in awe of this new 'Dark Knight Rises'/'Lion King' mash-up by Movie Maestro Ten affectionately titled 'The Lion King Rises.' While obviously the events of 'The Lion King' are far removed from anything we see in 'The Dark Knight Rises' trailer, special care was taken to choose moments that mirror either the spirit of those events or what they represent. In other words, we don't see a football field explode, but they keep cutting to shots of Scar looming ominously in the background the way Bane does in the 'TDKR' trailer. I also think the dialogue sync is pretty impressive. Overall, this is an unexpectedly entertaining and well constructed parody trailer. Take a look below and let us know what you think.
