Top Ten Best Comic Villains that you may not know about (DC Edition)

Top Ten Comic Villains that you may not know about (DC Edition)
I grew up reading comics and I liked the villains the most. Yes, the superheroes are important but the villains are just more interesting and cool. I was always amazed that some of these villains didn't get the recognition that they deserved. They had interesting story lines and powers. Here they are:

10. Professor Hugo Strange

Powers: No “Super Powers”: Genius and Scientist: Master in Psychology

A mad scientist all the way, he is one of the originals villains from the batman. Mad scientists in comics get a bad rap. Having no superpowers can lead some villains into obscurity. Some of the villains with super powers are way overrated (Cough* Darkseid* Cough). He has done some major things in the way of the Batman story line. One was creating a zombie like race called the “Monster Men” which he used to conquer Gotham City. Unlike most mad scientist, he doesn’t only use his gimmicks or inventions but he uses his brain to defeat his opponents. I think that his knowledge of the human brain put him a cut above the rest.

9. Chemo

Power: A.I. that is composed of various toxins, can grow to 100ft tall, can expel toxins from his body, and can regenerative properties.

Unfortunately, Chemo doesn’t get the respect he deserves. I think the reason why is because he’s just an unintelligent robot that walks around and spews out chemicals. I believe that he’s a lot more than that. He is somewhat of a double whammy. You’re fighting a giant toxin filled robot, alright that’s bad but it gets worse. When you defeat him, you risk breaking his containment suit which holds his toxins in. Now you have to deal with a toxin mess all over a major city. I believe there should be more storylines related to Chemo.

8. Girder

Power: His body is composed of organic metals. Has super strength and is nearly indestructible.

Flash’s rogue gallery doesn’t get the respect it deserves. Yes, there are some crappy ones but to every rogue gallery comes with bad villains (Riddler). Girder is one of these villains that doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He is a villain that is highly powerful and makes the juggernaut look like a pussy (Don’t get me wrong I like juggernaut but this guy is way stronger). His only weakness is………rust. I know that’s pretty weak but hey what can you do. He can be ripped in half and come back to life; that’s pretty cool.

7. Dr. Psycho

Powers: Telepath, make illusions, and mind control

He is demented and power hunger, the reason why a lot of people overlook this villain is his size. He is a little person, which can give people a double take when compared to a tall superhero. He can create your worst nightmares and tell you to walk off a cliff and you would do it. He is a good villain for Wonder Women in which she is not know to have very many. His murderous hatred for women makes him a good foe to deal with.

6. Neutron

Powers: His body is nuclear energy and has a suit that makes him super strong, durable, and shoots nuclear blast.

Neutron is somewhat like Chemo but he has intelligences whereas chemo’s just a mindless hulk. He also has the double whammy of spreading nuclear material around the city and being hard to defeat. He’s also hell bent of revenge and doesn’t care what happens around him or to other people. He is a villain that can hold his own against Superman and put up a good fight. I wish he could have gotten the recognition that he deserved when he was still alive.

5..The Shade

Powers: Controls the darkness (makes weapons out of darkness and teleport through darkness) and immortal.

This is a villain that hampered himself with less known or not popular villains. I believe that he could have held his own by himself. He is very powerful and destructive. The problem also comes into play that this villain was put into story lines that didn’t work for him (Starman is not a good comic). His character was wasted with being a part of the Starman storyline. Hopefully the writers will put him with another superhero and people can see the true caliber of this villain.

4. Lord of Time

Powers: Time traveler, has a mast a huge cache of weaponry from other time periods.

I agree with most people, time travelers get old. They come back from the future and use their advanced weapons to try to defeat the hero (Wooopee). He is somewhat one of these time travelers with something different. Where some of these time travelers just travel in the past and try to defeat the hero, the Lord of time has an updated version. He is defeated sometimes but he doesn’t give up and keeps updating himself and his weapons. So every time he comes back there is something different and interesting to defeat his opponents.

3. Manchester Black

Powers: Powerful with telekinesis and telepathy

Imagine an evil and sadistic Professor X and you will get Manchester Black. He is one evil son of a bitch and wouldn’t think twice about killing someone. He could make a powerful superhero believe that he or she is having a heart attack by using his telekinesis to squeeze there heart value. The reason why a lot of people don’t like this villain is because he didn’t last very long. The storyline in which Black tries to ruin superman’s life and making him believe that he killed Lois Lane is a great story line. I hope they bring this character back in the near future.

2. Onomatopoeia

Power: Highly trained assassin and he can imitate any noise perfectly

Bulleyes doesn’t have shit on Onomatopoeia. He is one of the most creative super villains that I every read about. Neither his real name nor his face has been seen. He is a master assassin that treats killing like a walk in the park. He can stand up to punishment and it won’t faze him. The coolest thing about him is his use of sound in his killings. He can mimic any sound perfectly and this will draw his victims to him. Who knew that a part of the English language could kill you?

1.Johnny Sorrow

Powers: His face can kill anyone upon viewing, teleports, and uses energy blasts.

Some people ask me “What villain do you like from DC?” I usually say” Joker, Clay face, Scarecrow, Onomatopoeia, and Johnny Sorrow.” They usually say” Who the fuck is Johnny Sorrow?” Johnny Sorrow is one of the most powerful super villains in the DC universe. This is the same villain that gave Dr .Mid-Nite a heart attack just by looking at his FACE. He wears this gold mask that protects people from seeing his face and dying. That’s AWESOME. He was a silent film actor that had gotten taken into another dimension which deformed his face. He works for a god called “The King of Tears”. When he comes back to earth, he wants to bring the king of tears into this world. He is a major opponent to the Justice League. If there is a storyline involving Johnny Sorrow: sit down, read it, and enjoy the evil fun.

I hoped you guys liked that and I will be coming out with the Marvel edition soon. I'm William Cutting and thanks for reading.

Professor Hugo Strange, Onomatopoeia, and Johnny Sorrow are probably my favorites on the list! I haven't heard of three or four of them, damn I need to brush up on my comic book villains lol. A lot of people don't know Johnny Sorrow, I'm glad you added him! I hate when hard-core Batman fans don't know who Professor Hugo Strange is. I'd love to see him in a Batman movie. Also, Onomatopoeia is 100% pure badass. He would make Hitman from the video games look like a rookie lol. Nice blog!!!
