In my earlier post I said that I couldn't possibly choose between the last 3, but I finally was able to pick a favorite

Cloverfield kept me captivated the entire movie. sure, the characters were annoying (I thought the cameraman was funny though) but i still cared about their safety. The secrecy drew me in, the monster was done so well and shot in the perfect positions to gain a pretty clear picture of what it looks like, without just giving you a minute to just observe it, and I loved that about it. So the secrecy drew me in, the monster kept me in suspense, but my favorite aspect of this movie is the mystery. The whole, "Did you see that thing at the ending!" bit was just genius, and after I went home, I felt like a detective trying to figure out all of the details of this movie. The overall experience was just great.

The Dark Knight sparked lots of conversation. and I mean LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of conversation. I enjoyed debating and sharing my opinions with other viewers on it, but eventually it was so overblown it became like a great song ruined by the radio who overplays it to the point of annoyance. Although Heath Ledger's Joker will never get me annoyed. He's so addicting, you could just watch his scenes over and over again.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was the funniest comedy of the year for me, and it delivered to me what I really wanted out of Pineapple Express. However, laughter is just not going to leave me with the same effect that the number 1 and 2 spots did, so it sits comfortably at number 3

Benjamin Button never got boring, even though it seems like it would. It was long, but I'm really glad it was because it was just so interesting. WALL*E is without a doubt my favorite PIXAR movie ever. Enough said. Religulous is everything I believe but could never really back up by myself. Enter Bill Maher to do that for me, in short, this is my new bible. Iron Man was great and RDJ was superb as Tony Stark but it seems like it's setting itself up for a sequel that could be so much better than this one. Still great though. Tropic Thunder was hilarious but at some points a little slow. My favorite Ben Stiller movie next to dodgeball. Role Models was hilarious and the final LARPing battle was too epic for words. Marley and Me turned out to be my surprise of the year. I make it a point not to cry in a sad movie, almost like a little game i like to play, and this was the closest I've come to losing. I'm on a 5 year winning streak, and a dog movie that isn't Old Yellar comes the closest to making me cry haha. But it is a great movie I would recommend it to anyone dog lover or not
