This movie from the start appears to be just another dramatic romance movie, but after two thirds of the movie we realase that it is not what at first appears to be. It becomes a genuine torture movie with some really disturbing scenes like vomit eating scene or cutting ones foot with piano wire

The film is essentially an exercise in brutality, an examination of three sociopaths and the trauma they inflict upon two innocent girls. The act of rape is automatically a disturbing to include in any film but Craven compounds the sexual assault of the two girls by adding intense sequences of almost unwatchable humiliation.

This movie is consisted of three separate stories different within one movie and each story was directed by three different directors. And When you have guys like Takashi Miike (Gozu, Audition, Ichi The Killer), Park Chan-wook (Oldboy) and Fruit Chan (I have no idea what the fuck he directed before this movie) you are sure to get some really fucked up stuff. A very imaginative movie.
