Sometimes, you are hooked to an anime from the star, literally. A good opening sequence can be the difference in give a try to a new series or totally let it pass. This is not has easy has it sound, you need kick ass music and cool animation, if you miss any of those two elements it will not be very effective. Talking about raped in translation. Remember the horrible American opening for this series? Here is the complete opposite. Catchy music, colorful and good animation. Is a really good call to check out the series… if you are patient, because there are more than 400 episodes and is still going.

9.- Death Note (What's Up, People?!)


Two words: Laud and fast. Sometimes that is the best way to call for attention, and in this case I believe it work out very well. There is so much stuff flying at you and with insane metal music that make you say “Shit!! I NEED to see this series”

8.- Azumanga Daioh (Soramimi Cake)


Want other two words? Ok. What about cute and crazy. A really sweet and cute tune and a lot of characters doing weird things. Now that I think about it, is a very accurate description of the series.

7.- School Rumble (Scramble)


Wow. It sound weird, but every time I see this opening, I have the urge of stand up and dance. The music s very energetic and the animation just put you in the right mood to watch the series. I love it and I can’t help it.

6.- Naruto (GO!)


False advertisement at his best. I can guaranty that when you watch this opening, the tune will drill a hole in your brain, lead eggs in it, and make you believe this is the greatest series ever. None the less is a really cool opening.


5.- Lucky Star (Take It! Sailor Uniform)


FUCK THIS SERIES. FUCK IT TO HELL. What is up with it? Why it always fall in the number five spot in all my lists? Whatever. I must admit that the opening is so dam good, that at first will trick you and believe that the rest of the series is as good and entertaining has the opening sequence… and is not. FUCK THIS SHIT (In a side note. If it appears in other list with the same number, I`ll officially change its name and call it # 5)

4.- Full Metal Alchemist (Ready Steady Go)


This is not my favorite opening of this series (That one is “Rewrite”), but I think is the best to attract new customers. Friendly and catchy you will remember this opening for years.

3.- Bleach (*~Asterisk~)


Another opening that is better than the anime it promote. A really good animation and music that I think is kind of misplaced in this series. At first it looks like entertaining and original school drama or something like that, not another mindless series about guys that fight each other.

2.- Cowboy Bebop (Tank!)


The second you hear those trumpets, you know is time for the crew of the Bebop to kick some ass. Good looking and mysterious at the same time, is just logical that one of the best anime of all time have one of the best openings of all time. There is nothing better,except for...

1.- Fist of the North Star (Ai o Torimodose!!)


(You know it’s coming) Geek mode on: YOU WA SHOCK!!! Dude!!! Seriously, is there something better than this opening? Not in this universe! This have such a energy that make you karate chop everything at your disposal until you brake the table and badly injured your hand… ok, maybe that just happen to me, but either way, this is the best opening for an anime EVAAAAAAR
