Tobey Maguire Options 'Good People'
Source: Production WeeklyProduction Weekly scoops that Tobey Maguire will star in and produce an adaptation of Marcus Sakey's novel Good People.
The film will be helmed by Niels Arden Oplev, the director of the Swedish film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The novel focuses on Tom and Anna Redd, a Chicago couple that, after finding nearly $400,000, go to extraordinary lengths to try and keep it.
Maguire has been busier as a producer than actor since exiting the Spider Man franchise. He's got two films in post production with is name on it (The Hungry Rabbit Jumps and Country Strong) but his indie comedy The Details has not yet found distribution.

sounds like tobey is reinventing himself as a producer the way benn afleck is becoming a good director. hope he still does some acting.
