Since the release of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises' is still six months away, I guess we'll have to be satisfied with these three brand new images from the film. The first image is interesting in that Bane (Tom Hardy) doesn't look quite as stoic as we've seen him in images and trailers thus far. Then of course we have a great showdown snapshot between Bane and Batman (Christian Bale) and an image of Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) in what appears to be a very dangerous situation. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think.
'The Dark Knight Rises' hits theaters July 20th

Comment by Sidewinder on January 18, 2012 at 2:01pm People, Bane's biggest strength isn't his muscle but his brains. He deduced that B is BB! He broke his back yeah but because he made Batman run around for 3 months, returning EVERY criminal escapee from Arkham back in the padded cells.
He was the perpretator of the breakout! And THEN, he broke B's back. The guy is a tactitian, not a brute. If Nolan has picked up on this, Joker may just be topped as best onscreen villain.

Comment by Kallabronn on January 17, 2012 at 4:31am @ DaSeala, the older Batman serial from the 40's had batman in the day time. Its nothing new.
Comment by Gift of the Magi on January 16, 2012 at 6:08pm @Scottyb825: So...because he played a tough guy in one film....that is who he is at all times and in every film?
ummm...yeah....no.
Comment by Scottyb825 on January 14, 2012 at 8:26pm I don't care if Hardy is shorter than Bale. I just watch Hardy in Warrior and I would not mess with that guy...he's brutal in that movie...
Comment by Gomu69 on January 13, 2012 at 4:55pm According to that issue of EW, Nolan says the 2nd official trailer for TDKR will be released on May 11th. Planned attention grabber from Avengers hype?
Comment by Ben Dover on January 13, 2012 at 3:00pm Batman is taller than Bane... It's over guys, Nolan is finished.
Still reaaaaaaaaaally curious about daytime batman
Comment by Gift of the Magi on January 13, 2012 at 9:53am Folks, Bale is about an inch tall than Hardy...and Bale is not a tall man (about 5'11" I think)
Comment by rubickscuban on January 13, 2012 at 9:23am to me, bane's mask looks like a spider's trying to crawl out of his mouth.
