...and their rabid avid love of STAR WARS. They love it so much, that a company called Wicked Laser has produced a 'lightsaber-esque' tool that is so powerful that it can, to quote, "...set fire to skin, and other body parts."


Look, even looks like a lightsaber!



It is said to be 1,000 times stronger than the average laser pointer, and if setting fire to skin wasn't impressive enough, it is said to also cause "blinding, burning, and cancer." Even the makers have admitted that, hypothetically, that turning it on for a split second in a cockpit would be "....disastrous." With all of the things preceding it, trading standards chiefs are just 'seriously concerned' about it's purchase and use.


Now, I know you're all wondering this, where can I get one? Well, you probably can still get one...On the black market. Before Lucasfilm stepped in to stop the production of this thing, this thing went for roughly around 160-180 American dollars (trading through the UK, it went for around 135 pounds).


Needless to say, this caught the immediate attention of the Star Wars nerds. Sooner then, it caught the attention of the people that worked in legalities over at the Skywalker Ranch.
