fantastic mr. fox Pictures, Images and Photos

As a true lover of the world of cinematography,
I find that the way a film looks can often make up for many flaws.
And one of the best directors, still living,
that utilizes the power of his camera so beautifully
is Wes Anderson.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a story about a family of foxes headed by the father, Mr. Fox. He is a thief turned newspaper columnist who can't resist the draw of his old ways. And when he decides to pull a big heist involving 3 of the most evil, ugly, and violent farmers in the land, you see how his actions come to effect everyone around him and how he must fix all of the problems he caused.

All stop-motion animation is difficult. It takes a lot of time and effort to get every single tedious shot. And the only reason someone would choose to use this form of art is because of their love for this type of film. Fantastic Mr. Fox, in addition to the stop-motion, also has that strictly Wes Anderson feel. The music and the dialogue are delivered just right and timed perfectly, while being paired with masterful shots and angles. It feels indie, but it isn't., and gets strait to the point with all of the dialogue (almost nothing said is purposeless).

There is also a strong political message, if you look close enough.
The whole story carries underlining messages about communism.
3 large and brutal powers pushing their dominance over a weaker citizens with threat of their lives.
All of it being meant to preserve the organized hierarchal order system.
The trend of political messages hidden in stories for children, remains strong.

The reason many have a hard time taking animated films seriously is because of their lack of substance on most occasions. But, that stereotype isn't true. This is a genre just like any other; contains both the good and the bad. Saying that all films designed to be watched by children aren't worth the same recognition as "adult" ones, isn't fair at all. The superior cinematography, dialogue, and political undertones of the Fantastic Mr. Fox are perfect examples of good cinema, and it should be treated as such.

9.5 out of 10
Hoping Wes Anderson chooses to make more movies in the near future. :)

Good review. I saw this movie on Thanksgiving Break and it was FANTASTIC- I really love this film. It's my second favorite Wes Anderson film- the first being Rushmore. 3.5 stars out of 4 stars.

I thought the point of the wolf was being related to an evolutionary badass. Wolves are pretty fearsome. Unlike foxes who are limited to scavenging and stealing chickens, wolves can hunt just about anything.

I saw this movie last night and it blows that movies like this don't get the chance to make money because of Twilight. This movie deserves every bit of cahs it gets. But I think I'd give it more of a 9/10. Great review though!
