Now I was just sitting here with the TV on, reading a book and a commercial for this came on. I proceeded to place my book down and take in what I could.

Something about evil spirits taking shit over and walking like a mixture of the girl from the Exorcist and those Nobody creatures from the first Devil May Cry. So the first thought that ran through my mind was, "WTF IS THIS SHIT!?"

Now, I'm not one to judge a movie solely on trailers and commercials but what the hell?! Its as if they were trying to make this a cult film, just like the Exorcist. I'll let you all in on a secret... The Exorcist scares the fuck out of me, always has always will. Because I first saw it as a child of the age of 7. I don't suggest you let a 7 year old watch this kind of movie. It scars them for life.

I don't scare easily. Not at all. But having seen such a graphic possession movie at a young age has made it hard for me to watch anything about possession. That's right, people. I had a hard time walking into a theater to watch the Exorcism of Emily Rose. Because I knew I may get scared. So scared in fact I wouldn't feel it until I was alone just before bed. But thank goodness common sense made me see that that movie was terrible.

I actually like movies that mentally mess with you like that. The ones who give you the imagery just before sleep. But possession turns me into a child. One that must sleep with the lights on and have something living in my room before I feel any sort of calm.

Back to The Unborn... Dun dun dunnnn. Produced by Micheal Bay. Directed by David S. Goyer, he also wrote it. You probably heard his name with the Dark Knight and shit like that. I WILL NOT BE FOOLED INTO BELIEVING THIS WILL BE GOOD! So screw your cornhole Mister Goyer. Fuck you and trying to scare the shit out of me and 10 year old children.

And the only reason for me following this movie is because my release date is the 9th.

Will I see it? Maybe. But I know I will be shaken by this movie. Only because possession scares the fuck out of me. I'm a wimp.

For lack of better words, Ito. But understand the following The Exorcist has. Its quite large.

PG-13 movies are not really that bad, James. A wonderfully written movie can be for everyone. If the movie is good, the rating will not matter in the end of all things.

Possession movies are unrealistic. Over dramatic garbage. But something about not having control over your own body and mind disturbs me deeply. So I kind of agree to a certain point, Russell.

love the honesty and I love someone coming out and saying fuck this movie and other movies like it especially emily rose(what a piece of shit eh) but the unborn has this trailer like its gonna be the next big horror possesion movie when it's obvious that shit is gonna be like exorcism of emily rose, an american haunting,
the reaping, stigmata, the boogeyman, darkness falls and another long line of bullshit films!

Exorcist isn't a cult film

"It looked half-interesting untill you see the PG-13 Rating.

FUCK PG-13 HORROR FLICKS!!!!!"

All that means is that there won't be blood spraying out of every orifice and titties bouncing on the screen every few minutes.

I personally don't find either of these things creepy, so I can't see how a horror movie would suffer without them.

This film looks like a rental. Creepy kids are so cliche' nowadays. sure, you'll see a lot of sexy shots of the main character but this doesn't look like any new territory. The creature running on all fours looks like an extra from In the Mouth of Madness.

David Goyer also directed the shitfest called Blade: Trinity. So this bears noting.

I don't know it might be the sort of thing where I'll just get the majority critical opinion. It looks like it could be good, but this looks like it could be a good year for horror in general. I mean we'll get "Drag Me To Hell"(directed by Sam Raimi via Spiderman trilogy & Evil Dead) and maybe "Trick r' Treat" (most likely actually). I mean when was the last time we saw a horror movie end up in the top ten grousers of the year?

It looked lame from the beginning.

The only thing that will make people want to go see this movie is that its written by the co-writer of the Dark Knight.

You know what, I don't totally bash PG-13 horror flicks cause The Birds scared the shit out of me and that is when you couldn't do a goddamn thing in movies without the censorsor up in your ass. It's just the PG-13 horror flicks that have been made have been targeted to the fucking tweeners crowd.
