So as we all know by know, word is spreading that Universal has pulled the prequel to John Carpenter's classic The Thing remake from their 2011 listing of films. So waht does this really mean for the movie?

1. First of all this could be false, and just a rumor so bare that in mind.

2. Universal could simply be taking ethir time to try and perfect the film. Its happened before. Paramount originally had Star Trek (2009) planned for a Christmas 2008 relase, before changing it sometime during the summer to summer 2009. And as well all know the wait was more then worth it.

3. Universal may know tha a hardcore R rated film will not do as well against the pressumably PG 13 rated F&F film, and the competeing JJ Abrams Super 8. They may release this film sooner or later in 2011. Jist not the same weekend as those 2 films.

4. On the filp side, Universal may have decided that the film is a flop, and they may hold on to it and attempt to get a new director for the film. I find it hard that Universal would completly abandoned a film that they have already started shooting.
