Slow but not boring, the best kind of anime!

I'm glad you guys like this, so many independent and mainstream reviewers dismiss or ignore anime.

Would of missed this filmed completely. Thanks for bringing this film to my attention. I saw it tonight with a buddy of mine and we both loved it. If you are saying Miyzaki's other films are better than this then I need to check them out because this filmed amazed me. I'm also glad that I listen to the review before hand because while watching the movie I did what Cyrus did and looked to see how the borrowers were using the stuff they borrowed. My favorite was that they used stamps as portraits.

i always luv miyzaki's movies since i was 7+ i watched the japanese version last year soo ill watch it on tv when its comes on dubed :3 i cant wait to see what eles he has in my future o-o before hes dies of old age of couse.

It's a dub. The rest of the film was made in Japan.

Soooo, the Borrowers have gone American? Same characters, same story, just cartoon and American..

This movie is beautifully animated and very pleasant to watch.  Since then I watched Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky from Studio Ghibli and The Secret World of Arrietty is my favorite so far.  

The only line that I missed from the Japanese version (English subtitles) was at the end when Arrietty tells Shawn, "I hope you have the best life ever."  It's more potent than "I hope you have a good life," in the English version.

I was also dazed by the soundtrack. It was beautifully melodic, and pieced together with the imagery.

If you took the time to actually read any of the comments, you'd know that nobody got "so fucking sensitive about it." One or two people cracked a joke about the subject, that's it. Nobody "sniped" at Cyrus, and in fact every comment I've read is entirely civil. You're the first one to get so worked up about it.
