News just in. Walt Disney has brought Marvel Comics in a Shares plus Cash Deal worth 4 Billions Dollars. The deal mean Disney will take over ownership of 5000 Marvel Characters.
The boards of Disney and Marvel have both approved the deal, which now needs the backing of Marvel shareholders and competition authorities.
Marvel chief executive Ike Perlmutter told the press that
"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel's fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses,"
Disney has seen a downturn in profit over the past few years and many people see if the deal goes through that it a win win for both companies.
Not sure how Disney is going to affected Marvel Business but we will see in the future, what the Mouse House in Store for Spidey and the rest of the marvel crew, (Maybe a crossover with Mickey and Deadpool who knows)
