THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 8, Issue 5: Heartless

THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 8, Issue 5: Heartless

The chapter in which a new member is inducted, a horrible truth is revealed and then mercilessly satirized, and much is revealed. Whether it's that actual useful information is revealed, or merely that the league is composed of monstrous human beings, is up to you, the listener, to decide.

Never thought I'd say this but this makes cancer funnier that the Archer episode. And trust me, I am not saying that lightly.

MavenCree, given other stuff you like, you would dig Enders Game. It sucks that he is an outspoken homophobic nut nowadays but none of those views are in the slightest bit evident in the book. If you don't wanna give him and the publishers any money there are certainly other methods out there. :)

@ Taylor Hudson - You're 17, bro.  That's why we have laws against kids your age making decisions like this that affect other people.  As for the difference between a teenage girl getting fucked over and an adult woman getting fucked over, the adult is responsible for only herself and is expected to deal with the consequences of her actions.

@Spillberg - Thanks.  We are doing a special condensed Twilight during the Moontower festival.  Come on by.  Also, my sketch troupe STAG is doing shows during Austin Sketch Fest.

Edgar Allan Poe was from Virginia and John Cusack doesn't attempt to pull off any kind of accent in that new film, which, btw, looks like dumb shit.

Great episode guys... Never laughed so hard (or at all) at Cancer before.  Randy, all the best.

"Can we appriciate an artist's work independent of their personal... whatever..."

I'm having that problem with Orson Scott Card.  I'd purchased Ender's Game along with a bunch of other books from other authors, as well as a book on sci-fi writing from him.  I'd read the writer's book, which was excellent, but then I found out that Scott Card is the president of some extremeist anti-gay group and that he puts almost all of his money towards seeing that gay people are irradicated from the earth or some shit like that.

So.... I've heard Ender's Game is an excellent book.  But I can't even pick up that excellent sci-fi writing book anymore - it makes me feel wrong.  And now Ender's Game is a movie... if I pay to see this, am I contributing to his bigotry?  I've already bought the books and now I wish that I'd, at the most borrowed them from a library or a used book store - I really REALLY do not want to give that man any of my money to help fuel his hate group.

Seems like the same question of the Mel Gibson stuff.
