THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 6, Issue 32: Scores and Soundtracks

I can't believe its taken us this long to do a show about this, so we get serious about it. Our guest, Brian Satterwhite, an honest to god film composer, fills us in our the behind the scenes stuff, and we all weigh in on our faves. Now what about you guys? Let's see you post some youtube vids in the comments of your favorite songs and themes from films. The LEOG wants to know what YOU think!

Erich Korngold, Max Steiner, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Hermann, etc are CLEARLY some of the best film score composers of ALL TIME!!! This was another great episode by the way.

I see it. And have seen it. Made the rounds internet-wise a few months back. Gotta love Ferguson.

I know nobody will see this, but I am catching up on my Spill right now and just heard thsi episode.  Since you spoke about tv theme songs, I was just had to share one of the coolest things I have seen in quite a while.

I think Harris meant Tommy Tallarico when he was talking about video game scores.  He does the Video Games Live concerts now a days and he is a great composer.

I love when you guys have epsiodes like this that are very informative. I dont give enough credit to scores the really do make or break any scene in a movie.

Great Podcast.   I have decided to take a look back at some other good electronic based scores from the past.

Part 1

Part 2

Right now I have this theme in my head.

I have an audio drama for you! Go check out ILoveBees, which was created to market Halo 2. Basically, it takes place about 500 years in future, Earth is about to be invaded by an alien army called the Covenant. Each scene in the story is actually a recording of the characters' chatter (which is really just a phone), so it's almost like you're spying on those characters. Check it out!

Inception is a fantastic film. That is all.
