THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 6, Issue 28: The Unseasonal 'Blue' Episode

It may not be Xmas, but we're getting blue anyway (considerably more so than usual). This is about as X as we get, so enjoy as we talk about some of our favorite off-color movies and TV shows and what's this? A special guest from an older LEOG line-up you haven't heard from in quite some time? No spoilers here, just click it and check it...

Okay, I'm sorry for updating all these old podcasts, but I had to put in my ten cents on the burning fire works debris...

Okay, I grew up on a ranch. So already I've put forth my redneck origins.
One day after the 4th, my dad told me to burn the fireworks so none of the goats got ahold of them. Being 8, I of course thought this was a brilliant idea.

I actually managed to burn most of them before this one that was shaped like an artillery piece shot off and popped me right in the throat.

Long story short, one simple task ended in a several hundred dollar doctor bill.

I may know the "girl in the room" that Peter was talking about.

Have you guys seen the director's cut of Sex Drive? In my opinion its one of the few Director's cuts that truly makes the movie better.

I have to assume you can't enjoy older films, like Spielberg films from the 80's with poor computer effects by today's standards, low-budget films that can't necessarily afford top quality lighting, film stock, etc, campy b-films or horror? I find your analogy to be inaccurate. The cake is a lie.

@PocketsO'tool - "fungusmonkey [the main perp.] really needs not to be so harsh on the Captain America costume"

I'm critical of every aspect of a film and - when something sticks out like a sore thumb like bad costume design - I hit it. Sorry I'm that way. If the lighting was terrible or the acting was bad or the story didn't make sense, I'd be harping on those too. I actually did have quite a bit to say about the extensive wire-work involved in the fight scenes (which I find to look very fake and "floaty") and the poor action choreography (because it often succumbs to easy fights that aren't visually interesting), but those didn't happen to make it on mic.

Filmmaking is like a cake, all the ingredients have to work together to taste good. One lump of shit and the whole cake gets a funny taste to it. ;)

I'm sorry, but Cat's my damn hero. I cannot, for the LIFE OF ME, understand why all of Spill loves this damn "Horrible Bosses" movie. I mean, it was OK, but damn. "One of the funniest movies of the last 5 years"....?? Hmmmmm.....

Thing with Kristen Stewart is that she's ready to do some different stuff. If you watch the last MTV movie awards, you can see where she realizes that people aren't even nominating her for her talent at all. By the end she just didn't give a shit. I'm hoping she does well so she can move on with her career.

I've been a fan of the site a long time, especially of LEOG. I guess the reason I never comment is because if a person comments on this site and they start getting mentioned alot by the spillios inevitably everyone that comments wants that same amount of attention. But they all can't be winners now can they... the sad truths of life.

You guys are the ISH, but fungusmonkey [the main perp.] really needs not to be so harsh on the Captain America costume cause the movie as a whole will most likely turn out to be a fossilized piece of dinosaur shit.

I rest my case.
