THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 6, Issue 30: Captain America

THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 6, Issue 30: Captain America

But of course it's the Captain America episode. What did you expect, as naturally since the movie is out, it's what we and our friends have been talking about around the water cooler (or bottle of scotch, as the case may be). Check it...

I saw this, Id0ntknow. And for the record, I personally like the Avengers cartoon. Even Randy, I believe, has largely come around on it.

Hey guys. I was watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Yes, I'm one of those losers) and saw something that reminded me of this podcast. They brought back the "Laser shield". Or I assume its a laser, they don't really say. For all I know its a hologram.

Anyway, doubt y'all will see this, but there ya go.

Referring to the point about why it was necessary for Capt to be the "sacrificial lamb" in the infiltration scene, it kinda came across to me that Captain America was acting as the big distraction the whole time and the plan was to have the Red Skull capture Capt so that he (Red Skull) would let his guard down, allowing the rest of the Commandos to bust in. At least that's how I interpreted that scene.

Damn, you guys are all so funny!! Why go to the movies and see a comedy when you can have a much better time here? For example, I am with Cyrus on The Hangover--chuckling was my biggest response. Over the 166 minutes of this podcast I was laughing hard a lot. */Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert (for this podcast).*/ While the whole podcast was amazing, the opening and closing were particularly notable.

Definitely an extraordinary podcast and Web site.

I just watched Captain America again today and this podcast came to mind.

There IS a reason for the action montage. They SHOW a purpose. Captain America is taking out Hydra bases. You see Red Skull pissed off that every base he finds is destroyed, and you see them taking the toy factories off of the map to signify their destruction.

That was a HUGE part of the film.

Cyrus, I saw The Flaming Lips live, like, a week ago. I just got around to listening to the Harry Potter episode from last week and noticed that you actually had a Lips song play during one of the intermissions. (Extra points for choosing an obscure [and mystically fitting] song!) Anyway, I dig the show (and the music chosen for the intermissions), and yes: the concert was an enlightening experience.

LANGsTON, I've been doing this, moderating this site, dealing with comments, both positive and negative, for over 4 years now. So don't tell me that we freak out at any kind of criticism, regardless of tone, because it just isn't so. I know you like to THINK you're being smart here, but you're just continuing on with being a smart ass. Let it go. Or I WILL get serious here.
