This theory / short post will contain major spoilers from Sherlock S2E3 . So if you didn't have the opportunity to see it , please don't read this. And everything I share with you is and can be debatable , is pure speculation and is a product of boredom + re-watching the season finale. Just like the good old Lost theories which we destroyed,deleted after each and every episode.

So, all sorts of theories and explanations were posted online about how Sherlock survived/staged/arranged that fall . I won't even go into that , because that topic is treated sufficiently and I think every viable solution has been written , even if writer Moffat says a major clue was left out from the jump scene (probably a discussion with Molly ).

But the real thing that (let's say) bothers me is Moriarty's suicide. He's just too big of a control freak to do something like that (without any good/great or no reason at all) . This is what remains to be seen. In the books he is the ultimate puppet master , the man behind the curtains . While I acknowledge that liberties can and are taken with Arthur Conan Doyle's characters, their essence is mostly the same. The idea is that this "Moriarty" is really just an actor like he says and is shown,thus further proving and reusing the packaging a lie in small truths method ; or a menacing lunatic with a touch for the dramatic and ultimately he is controlled,manipulated by the man with the same name (so he could have killed himself being ordered/manipulated or because of insanity). With series 3 confirmed ,  the other dramatic events and mysteries overshadow the significance and magnitude of this event. He's just way too clever,calculated for this and wouldn't have missed out on how Sherlock would resolve the situation he was put in.There are the more cliche' explanation ,like they were brothers , or one had himself surgically made to look like the other. To be sincere, I don't have an accurate or foolproof explanation for my "deduction" (and I'm 75% sure that he'll return next season , probably/possibly played by an another actor -or not). I simply think that all the small clues, story telling methods and the usual big resolution hides in plain sight all lead up to Moriarty tricking that world and trying to trick us viewers too. He's just putting himself 3 steps ahead of everybody.
