Synopsis: Barney Ross the leader of the Expendables (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas a knife specialist (Jason Statham), Yin Yang a martial arts expert (Jet Li), Hale Caesar a heavy weapon specialist (Terry Crews), Toll Road a demolitionist (Randy Couture), and Gunner Jensen a loose cannon (Dolph Lundgren). The Expendables says that they have all the action stars, but the only action stars in this movie is Stallone, Statham, Li, Schwarzenegger, and Willis, and Schwarzenegger and Willis are only in one scene, and for all the other action stars; well their not action stars, Terry Crews is more of a comedic actor, Randy Couture is a UFC fighter, Dolph Lundgren, and Steve Austin have been in action movies, but I don’t consider them action stars.
The plot is really bad, and makes no sense, and you would expect that from a big summer action movie, but it’s really horrible in this action movie, there is tons of plot holes, and is one of the worst plots I seen this summer, the plot had no effort in it, just lazy and stupid. This movie is supposed to be the biggest action movie of the summer, and of the year, but honestly the action wasn’t even that good, the first scene was good, and the last 35minutes were filled with action, and was good action, but other than the first and last actions scenes, every other action scene sucked, it was boring, and for the talent the movie had the action really was disappointing. The acting was also not the greatest, Sylvester Stallone, and Jason Statham had the two best performances, and they had the two best performances because, they were the only actors that had character development, all the other actors had really pour character development or they had no character to work with, and that’s a case of really lazy writing. I really wanted to like Jet Li in this movie, but his character was so badly written that I couldn’t like him any more than all the other completely horrible characters. The movie starts off strong, but when we get more into the plot that’s when the movie starts falling apart, and does recover a little with the last act, but still doesn’t save the movie, the 2nd act was very boring, and I almost fell asleep watching the movie, and the action was piss pour for the 2nd act. The Expendables is one of the worst action movies that came out this summer, and gets destroyed by The A-Team, Predators, Inception, Knight and Day, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and all those movies that I just mentioned all have a lot better action then the Expendables, and if you want to go see a good action movie then go see Knight and Day, because that movie is most familiar with the Expendables, but is a whole lot better, and improved.

I didn’t hate this movie, am just disappointed that it’s not as good as It should be, and like I said before the first, and last scenes are full of action that is actually really good, especially the last 35minutes, and I liked Stallone and Statham together, I thought they had good chemistry, and really were badass.
Overall the Expendables is one of the biggest disappointments of the year, but had some really good action scenes.
