Yesterday, a couple of my friends and I were talking about the The Dark Knight Rises and a interesting thought came up. A friend of mine said, "I'll bet money that Scare Crows part in the film was suppose to be played by the Joker". After dawning on that, we all looked at each other in awe! Imagine how epic and cool that would have been. It does fit perfectly. I would love to hear some feedback on this thought. It does bum me out a lot just thinking about the Joker not being in this last film due to Heath Ledgers death. All the characters all came out in this last film except him.
,Thanks!

Comment by JeWeLz on July 23, 2012 at 3:27pm Very true. They did start writing the film after Heath ledgers death. I guess it was just my inner self wanting the Joker to be in this film so bad. They didn't even mention him at all. It felt like he wasn't even apart of the trilogy in this last film.

Comment by Joseph E T Hughes on July 23, 2012 at 2:21pm That's actually feasible. Cut Catwoman out of the film, maybe even John Blake as well, and you could find enough time to have the plot reflect the Joker and Bane clashing during Wayne's time in the pit. The finale also would have been far more dramatic and interesting if Batman had to take down Joker as well.
The Joker would probably have set up his own little dictatorship in Gotham to oppose Bane(think Arkham City). Wouldn't have been surprised if the Joker was the one to kill him. Even Bane wouldn't have been prepared to face someone like the Joker. What could have been...
Comment by south-side panda on July 23, 2012 at 1:53pm I don't think that the Scare crows row would not fit with the Joker at all. The Scare crow was perfect because he is about fear and making the person on trail decide how they were going to die fits with the character of Scare Crow more. If anything the Joker would try to kill Bane because He did want the Joker could not and that is break the Batman and Gotham city.
Comment by The Halfrican on July 23, 2012 at 1:49pm Scarecrow's cameo fit for Scarecrow, if Joker would have been in it he probably would have been a thorn in Bane's side that for some reason his plan required for him to be there and in the end Joker would have double crossed Bane and Joker would have killed him instead of Catwoman
Comment by Joseph E T Hughes on July 23, 2012 at 1:42pm What Chig said. An idea for a sequel hadn't even been established before Ledger died.
That said, if Joker was indeed in Rises, hopefully it would have been more substantial than a cameo, as cool as it may be. And it would definitely cause fridge logic to wonder why Joker was dancing to Bane's tune...
Comment by Chig Champa on July 23, 2012 at 1:34pm They started writing the film after Heath Ledger died...
