The 10 Highest Grossing Movies of 2010, so far (Part 2)

Alrighty!! Time for round 2! Instead of me doing an introductory paragraph, let's just jump right in.

6. How to Train Your Dragon
Total domestic gross: $217,581,231
Total foreign gross: $264,627,399

I was really excited when I saw this. I love Monster Vs. Aliens and I love Kung Fu Panda even better. This movie is on a whole different level from those movies, and to me, that's really saying something. This movie has some of the best flight sequences I have seen in years, and the amazing 3D only enhances those already amazing scenes. Hell, the final fight against that gargantuan dragon was worth the price of admission alone. You see the picture above? That's just a part of that giant dragon's mouth. That's right I said it, just a part. This is definitely one of the best films I've see this year thus far. If you have an amazing Blu-Ray player (unlike my family's crappy $75 dollar one) and you bought a 3D TV (not sure why you would) buy this movie when it comes out, crank up your surround sound, and enjoy. Actually, buy it even if you have the crappiest DVD player imaginable. You know what, that's not good enough. Pre-order it on Amazon now!!

7. Inception
Total domestic gross: $214,662,000
Total foreign gross (so far, seeing as etc....): $171,500,000

Ill let you guys insert your comments here. Why am I not going to say anything on this film you ask? Because if I say the wrong thing, people will go insane, but if I say the right thing, people will probably still go insane. Don't get me wrong, I loved the ever living crap out of this movie, it's my favorite movie of the year (until Tron: Legacy comes out) but I don't want to end up like Leon because he did make a few good points. I've said too much. Oh I almost forgot, this will pass How to Train Your Dragon this week since HtTYD only has $3 million and some change more.

8. Despicable Me
Total domestic gross: $202,924,00
Total foreign gross: $28,807,572

I haven't seen this, but a few friends and family loved it. And as much as I want to see it, I probably will never get the chance to. I have to say that I'm surprised how little it made over seas. Not even $30 mill? I guess there won't be a sequel after all. Oh who am I kidding, of course there's going to be a sequel.

9. The Karate Kid (2010)
Total domestic gross: $173,271,010
Total foreign gross: $81,718,414

Jaden Smith as Riley Freeman as the Karate Kid. Well, if that's actually what the movie was like I would've seen it. My 22 year old brother enjoyed, so I guess it wasn't that bad. Made bank here and overseas.

10. Clash of the Titans
Total domestic gross: $163,214,888
Total foreign gross: $328,701,663

Meh. I thought it was alright. The whole Kraken "fight" was disappointing. Surprised it made so much more cash overseas though.

That's all she wrote folks! I'll do the official top grossing movies of 2010 in the beginning of 2011. Until then I might do monthly games sales since I'm a huge gamer. All the above numbers and the numbers from Part 1 were taken from Box Office Mojo. Once again thanks for reading, and feel free to comment. Later days!!

Huh...I would have thought Inception and Karate Kid would have placed higher.
