Second blog review for Spill. Here we go.
By now, we all know the story for this one. Set in 2018, John Connor is fighting against Skynet, while at the same time a death row inmate, Marcus Wright, who donated his body to science, wakes up to find how much the world has changed. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just leave it at that.
I'm a big fan of the first two Terminators, so I was excited to see this new installment. I went to the midnight premier in my town, and I have to say I felt I got my money's worth. The overall feel of the film is different from the previous ones, which I think is a good thing to deal with a post apocalyptic war with machines. The special effects for the Skynet robots were fantastic, as were the Terminators themselves. I also liked all the performances, especially Christian Bale's as John Connor.

The addition of things such as "Come with me if you want to live" and "I'll be back" were cute at first, but after a certain point the allusions to the earlier movies just take away from this movie. The thing with radio music was, after the robot apocalypse, radio stations were still transmitting music. "Highly illogical" if you ask me.
Despite my two complaints, I still think this movie was a fun ride with an interesting story behind it. For a Spill grade, I'd give this movie a solid
Whether or not you are a fan of the series, I think you can enjoy this movie and get your money's worth for this one.
