Ten Movies I Would Love to See Now!!!

With one of my favorite series getting a sequel soon, Toy Story 3, I have been thinking of movies that I would love to see made. Some of these movies are sequels, with the first not really lending to a sequel, but I would very much like to see more of the story developed. I tried to think of movies that aren't in development, or even talked about, but movies I would just personally like to see.

A couple of these films are sequels, while most of these films are based off other things.


10: Requiem for a Dream 2


Being one of the most depressing movies ever made, I would at least like to see what happens to all the characters at after the end of the first film. I understand Sarah was a comatose patient, Harry lost his arm, Tyrone got arrested, and Marian became a prostitute to pay for her drugs. I would like to see if Harry ever went back to find Marian. Maybe they came together to get over their drug addictions so that Harry could get his mother back. Tyrone could even find his mother and try to make peace with her.

I guess I just hate depressing films, but I would like to see what happened to those characters.


9: Dragon Quest


I am a huge RPG nut so I want to see a film based off this. I don't even know which game they would base it off of because the games aren't very story focused. I guess as long as the movie has a dragon and people are on a quest then it might work. I know that EVERY film based off a video game sucks, but more on that later.


8: Evil Dead 4


The way Army of Darkness ended, the theatrical release, not the extended DVD version, it begged for a fourth film to be made. I want to see Ash don his Chainsaw and Boomstick for one more showdown with the Deadites. He "basicaly" said the words right, so isn't that like saying Sam Raimi will "basically" make a fourth film. Sam your Evil Dead need you to make a fourth one, not remake the first one (according to rumor).


7: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic


Yeah I know I said the Star Wars films sucked, but you know what: George Lucas did nothing for this game so it is good. This is what I wanted to see from a Star Wars property. It had a real "epic" tale that had a twist that rivals Empire Strikes Back's.


6: Chrono Trigger


One of the most popular RPG's should have it's own movie. Every movie that I have seen that involves time travel is a sure fire hit. I want to see Lucca, Marle, Frog, Ayla, Robo, Magus, and Crono all in 3D. I want to know what all these characters sound like. This could work probably only work as an animated film.


5: History of the World Part II


Come on Mel Brooks, I know the title was a pun on itself, but please you have so much more history to parody. I know you are not doing many films now, but please do one more. I would love to see how you would parody the American Civil War or the Battle of the Alamo. I bet you could even find an entertaining take on the moon landing. This is the one film I would like to see you make.


4: Final Fantasy VI


With VII getting so much praise, why not let some of the other games in the series have their own movie. Why else would I have Kefka as my username if he was not a total badass. He destroyed the world, took total control of magic, proclaimed himself as a God, and took control over the mind of a young woman named Terra just for his own pleasure. The story is better crafted and the characters are much more memorable than VII's, yes even Umaro and Gogo.


3: The Incredibles 2


This is the next Pixar film that deserves to have it's own series. I'm not saying that there should be twenty short films released over the next two years, but maybe at least have two more films and make this Pixar's second trilogy. The film ended on such a cliffhanger that you are pretty much insulting us Pixar by not making a sequel.


2: The Legend of Zelda

I don't care what anyone has to say about this. I want to see a well made, well crafted, and well cast Legend of Zelda movie. I honestly think that this film could work. It would have to be familiar enough for fans to want to go see, but new enough for new comers to want to see also. I have no idea who could play the famed Hero of Time. IGN even made everyone wonder about this for last years April Fools. I would like to see this film, but there is really no rush for me to want to see it that bad. If there are, at some point or another, talk about this film, please take as much time as you want to make this film good. That way all the gamers can shove this film in everyone's face when they say that there are no good Video Game based films.

BTW I have been a fan of LoZ since I was five, I am currently twenty-one, so it's not like I am some new fan to the series.



1: The Onion Girl

This is one of the better books I have ever read. It tells a beautiful story about a girl, who throughout her life, has endured nothing but torture. Hell, even at the beginning of the book Jilly, the Onion Girl, gets into a life shattering car accident, not spoiling anything. The title just means that there is more to Jilly than her outer layer, she has multiple layers like an onion, but not like ogres. I would love more than nothing to see this made into a film. With it being an urban fantasy book, the film will definately find its target audience, but onlookers will find that this not just some stupid fantasy film, but a film that really has no rival. There are no other books quite like The Onion Girl, not even Charles deLint's other books are as good as this one. Read this book and you will see why I want to see a movie made of this.
