Last month, it was reported that Sam Worthington ('Avatar') would be appearing alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming movie 'Ten.' The film, which has been written by Skip Woods ('X-Men Origins: Wolverine') and will be directed by David Ayer ('Harsh Times'), is essentially an action take on Agatha Christie's mystery story 'Ten Little Indians.' This version would see a DEA task force being knocked off one by one after raiding a cartel safe house. Now it appears another member of that task force has been cast. Mireille Enos ('The Killing') has just signed on to play a DEA agent who is also the wife to Sam Worthington's character. Enos will next be appearing on the big screen in two recently pushed back productions: Ruben Fleischer's 'Gangster Squad' and Marc Forster's 'World War Z.' No word yet on when filming for 'Ten' is set to begin.

The concept for 'Ten' still firmly holds my attention, if only because it's so outlandish. Turning 'Ten Little Indians' into an action movie is something I previously would have assumed even Hollywood wasn't desperate enough to do. And yet, here we are. However, 'The Raid: Redemption' has renewed my love for police-raiding-dangerous-criminal-installation movies. If this is handled the right way, it could be an insanely fun romp. As to Mireille Enos, I thought she was great on 'The Killing' and she's definitely a good pickup for this project. I'm curious about her character. It's not often that a strike team for any law enforcement agency would include a married couple. Plus, if we're really following 'Ten Little Indian' rules, it's a sure bet that one or both of them will be dead by the end of the movie. Or perhaps they'll diverge a bit and the two of them will be the ones to make it out alive. 2013 is shaping up to be a big year for Enos. As of now, I've yet to see her in anything apart from 'The Killing' so it'll be interesting to see how she handles the transition to the big screen.

What do you guys think? Are you excited for 'Ten?' Any 'Killing' fans happy that Enos is coming aboard?

Does this mean they're cranking it up to eleven?

@Joshua Balcombe Yes. We with our millions of dollars and Hollywood productions will all make better movies. God, if only. Besides, the whole point of this site is for fans of movies to comment on movie news and reviews, among other things in the forums, and more often than not, our comments are going to be negative. That's simply the nature of the Internet.

Also, Skip Woods wrote Hitman and the upcoming Good Day to Die Hard. So obviously we're not getting a lot from the start, besides the director of Training Day.

The Killing has fans?

Yeah, I'm gonna trust the guy who wrote X-Men Origins: Wolverine to adapt Agatha Christie, or anything else for that matter. Though I'm sure Ayer can give us something better than that.

Interesting... Ayer + Schwarzenneger + Worthington = ??????
