Something that seems to be a recent invention in the world of movie marketing is the teaser for a trailer. Where traditionally we'd get a teaser trailer, wait a while, and then get a full trailer, now a step is included between the two in which we are given glimpses at the full trailer usually the same week as its official release. So why showcase these superfluous teasers? In the case of 'Prometheus,' the answer is simple: when Ridley Scott speaks, we listen. In this teaser for the release of the film's first full trailer, due to hit Thursday, Scott warns us that 'Prometheus' will be definitively epic. We also get a few shots from the movie and hints at a rather familiar score. Take a look below and tell us what you think. We will have the official trailer for you this week as well.

'Prometheus' hits theaters June 8, 2012

So it was basically Ridley Scott saying

"Yeah, it's me. Ain't I the shit? You're glad to have me back aint ya? Nobody can do you like I can"

And heres some clips...

It's sad, you know? Instead of Inception inspiring filmmakers to try bold new film and story techniques, Inception has inspired unnecessary and pointless forms of social media: trailers for trailers, Facebook while you Facebook, things within other things because that's what...people..wa..GODDAMIT
