The Phenomenal One posted a blog post"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when several superhero stories found themselves united in a single article. On that day, 'Superhero Stories' was born - to contain the film and TV news no single blog post could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now...
Superhero Stories Assemble!"

Man, have we got a lot to go over this time... Marvel is pushing full-force on their 'Thor' marketing campaign now, with the hammer-wielding hero set to appear on everything from car ads to Slurpee cups. We also have two new TV spots that highlight a bit more of the visual effects in the movie:
And, as an added bonus Marvel has released another movie clip, and if you watch closely (seriously, blink and you'll miss it) there's even a cameo by Hawkeye!
Sure, there's no reason for him to be there and he just stands there aiming his bow but I'm betting that what we don't see happen directly after this clip is Hawkeye taking the de-powered Thor down, leading to the interrogation scene from the early trailers where Clark Gregg's SHIELD agent is asking Thor where he got his training.

Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises' has announced plans to film extensively in Pittsburgh, PA this summer. However, the news comes from the city's very own Pittsburgh Post Gazette, so it's possible they might be blowing it out of proportion slightly. Nolan will likely still use the city of Chicago as the template for Gotham (as in the past two films), but incorporating architecture and locations from Pittsburgh into the fictional city of Gotham.
"Pittsburgh is a beautiful city," the director commented, "We have been able to find everything we were looking for here and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman." Dawn Keezer, the head of the Pittsburgh Film Office remarked, "They really fell in love with was the diversity of architecture and the gorgeous buildings that we still have in Downtown Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas".
Meanwhile, Marvel celebrity Stan Lee has decided that not only is he desperate for a cameo in every Marvel film, now he wants to be in DC's films as well. The obseqious octogenarian recently spoke to the LA Times about his cameo in Thor (semi spoiler - he apparently plays a truck driver) and lobbied for a role in the forthcoming Batman sequel:
"I wonder why DC Comics doesn't have me do a cameo in Batman? Just think how people would come to see that. They wouldn't believe it."
Let me think here... why wouldn't DC Comics want the poster boy for Marvel comics in their film... hmmm, what a mystery.

Speaking of Stan Lee, he also recently tweeted that he would be taking part in the first batch of 'Captain America: The First Avenger' reshoots. As we previously reported, director Joe Johnston and team plan to kick off around two weeks of studio-requested reshoots both here in the U.S. as well as abroad after a recent studio screening did not go as well as expected.
To kick off the re-shoots, Marvel (under the guise of "Vita Ray Productions") will be filming in L.A. over the weekend, using the code name "FrostBite" (which was also what they used when they originally filmed in the UK). With the film set to arrive in theaters on July 22nd, it's unknown at this time how far behind schedule these reshoots will put the film, which has been struggling with deadlines over the entire course of production. Also, since Marvel's 'The Avengers' is currently in pre-production at Paramount, they may also be filming crossover scenes to edit into the end of Thor, or possibly even the "bookend" segments of the film (which are said to take place in modern day with Nick Fury and SHIELD).
But fear not, Captain America fans. Even if the reshoots put the film a little off-schedule, they still won't be as stressed as...

In a recent interview with THR, 'Green Lantern' producer Donald De Line fielded questions about the severely troubled production. While they recently unveiled a batch of new footage at this year's WonderCon (which is posted below), De Line stressed how important the panel was:
De Line also updated interviewers on the status of the film, saying that - even this close to the film's deadline - they still have "50 percent of [their] shots left to finish" and that they are working "seven days a week, non-stop" trying to finish the massive amount of visual effects for the film. They've even had to farm out work to multiple visual effects houses, Sony Imageworks chief among them.
When asked if the long silence between the first trailer and now made him nervous, he responded:
And lastly, the producer was quick to mention that the sound in the recent footage was actually temp tracks:
You can see the WonderCon footage, which looks pretty solid even with temp sound effects and music, here:
Until next time!

Comment by Captain Bobo on April 11, 2011 at 2:42am I have no idea if they're faithful to the character of Thor, but every time I see something from that film, I get more and more excited. He's just like this super badass who's like, you're gonna try to fuck with me? Please. But then he gets taken out by a tazer, and its just like, LMAO.
And seriously Stan Lee, I think you're getting a bit senile bro. Why would DC comics want you to do a cameo? I seriously doubt that would cause ANYONE to come see The Dark Knight Rises, who wasn't already going to. " I didn't really want to see that new Batman flick, but damn! Stan Lee's gonna be in it! For this I gotta go leave my house, drive to the theater, pay money for admission, and sit through an entire movie I wasn't really interested in seeing, to see Stan Lee in a DC movie for 5 whole seconds!"
