'Sucker Punch' Animated Short Films and New Photos

Source: Apple

Warner Bros., in conjunction with Zack Snyder and animator Ben Hibon (creator of the 'Three Brothers' animation from HP7, among other things) have begun to release new viral marketing for "Sucker Punch" featuring animated short films, each with a separate theme and setting from the film. The first (which we didn't get to post yesterday), is entitled "The Trenches":

The girls face off against an army of mechanized WWI soldiers. Through the use of clockwork and steam technology, human soldiers who die in battle are reanimated and sent back to the front lines. Although seemingly indistinguishable and soulless, the zombie army is not just made of gears and steam, but also of human flesh, bone, and memory. In "The Trenches" there is a tragic tale behind each lifeless mask.

Today, Hibon and WB released the second film in the series, entitled "Dragon":

The girls drop into a castle courtyard and find themselves in the middle of a chaotic battle between a hoard of gruesome Orcs and an army of Black Knights. The original cause of the massive conflict is hopelessly lost amidst the death and destruction. "Dragon" is a tale of religious persecution exploring the origin of this conflict. Who is the righteous and who is the heathen?

And lastly, Entertainment Weekly just released 10 new character images from the film, including never-before-seen shots of Jon Hamm, who plays a dual role as the doctor who is scheduled to lobotomize the main character Babydoll in a matter of days, and as a high-rolling cabaret patron in one of the film's many fantasy worlds.

'Sucker Punch' opens up in theaters on March 25th.

Looks like too much going on in this movie to keep me interested. Maybe a good rental, late night by myself watching the big screen tv with the sound turned up really loud while drunk as hell. .

Looks great, I don't expect anything from the story, but It is posible that the ballet of the fight choreography could save this movie.

A lot of visuals, over looking the substance; if I was entertained by flashing lights and loud noises I would probably be all in for this. "Hey look how cool and edgy we are, that must mean we're good *giggles*" -___-

If only that Harry Potter animation could have been nominated for an oscar.

Everytime I hear Keith David in a trailer or something I keep wondering what the trailer has to do with Mass Effect... It's weird how you sometimes associate certain actors with one character. Sean Bean will always be Boromir for me.

I have the same with Christian Bale, although he's great in Batman I just can't help but wonder why he isn't using GUN KATAAA.

Anyway, awesome shorts, can't wait!!

Those animations were really cool. I wasn't sure about this one at first, but now I can't wait to see Sucker Punch!
