Star Wars Costume, 1977

I just found this picture in my dad's year book from Halloween, 1977. I thought it was pretty good, considering. Weird to think the guy under there hadn't seen Empire Strikes Back yet. Also, what the hell did he use for that light saber?

The platforms make the costume, truly.
