Casual drivers along the streets of Pittsburgh may have been in for a bit of a shock on Saturday, as three heavily modified, camouflaged versions of Batman's Tumbler came roaring through town on their way to the set of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Before you start guessing which bat-buddies are riding in the other two, let's stop you right there: the Tumblers in question don't belong to Batman, but to his primary antagonist for the film, Bane (played by Tom Hardy). That's right, Bane is apparently using Batman's own technology and vehicles against him to wage war on the Caped Crusader and all of Gotham City. Contained in the following pics and videos are a closer look at Bane's full costume (or at least the one he wears in this scene), his assorted henchmen, a new Batpod, and the "BaneTumblers" as they storm Gotham's Blackgate Prison and make demands of the city (rumors report that Bane rips up a picture of Harvey Dent live on camera), leading to a violent confrontation between the two men:
With Christian Bale returning as Bruce Wayne / Batman, 'The Dark Knight Rises' will arrive in theaters on July 20th, 2012.

I can't believe I completely forgot about Dominic Purcell as a candidate for Bane
Already has the right size and build and is a great actor
Comment by John Lemus on August 3, 2011 at 1:39pm Here is one site that has a few concepts, My fav so far is is Harley Quinn.

This is another concept I think it was for one of the comics or one of the games
I don't like it mainly becuase of the goggles they look stupid and I am hoping they avoid using this one in the movie

Comment by Gift of the Magi on August 3, 2011 at 12:01am Ok first off, please do NOT use Arkham Aslyum as a measuring stick for Batman. Damned near NOTHING in that game was canon or close to the original comics (Really, a Killer Croc-Hulk? REALLY?) and pretty much exists in its own little universe. Trust me, in about 10 years, it'll be a barely remembered game for hard-core V-gamers. As a story, AA would barely rate a paperback collection book (I refuse to say graphic novel) because there is barely any story to use.
Second...yeah I'm sorry but no Dave Batista. Yes I agree that Bane SHOULD be a large person because he's always been shown as a large person...and having an obviously 5'9" guy with pale white skin (and suppose to be latino...) and a reject mask from Scorpius (5 Geek Points to whoever figures THAT reference out) kinda wreaks the image. However, you HAVE to get someone that can ACT and act DAMNED WELL. I am not the biggest fan of TDK (I thought Batman Begins was better), but even I agree that Ledger took his rather silly role and made it DAMNED GOOD. He took medicore and made it better. It wasn't easy and it was still flawed, but he managed to inject a unique personality and look into Nolan's Joker (And yes I still don't like his look. Sorry, but no. The guy looked like he was lethally allergic to showers.) But in the end, he did it and was rewarded.
For Bane, you HAVE to meet that standard. Folks, this is the LAST Nolan Batman film. You had BETTER end it fucking well or it's going to be his Phantom Menace/Prequels or even worse...his Batman and Robin. Even just a moderately decent film just won't cut it now, he has to produce and produce BIG. Thus, you better get a GREAT fucking actor for Bane, because he is the last major threat.
