Splinter Cell Conviction coming for Christmas 2009* Update: Coming early 2010

Xbox magazine says:
Ubisoft's financial results have reaffirmed the existence of long-delayed Tom Clancy-em-up Splinter Cell: Conviction, which apparently will arrive for Christmas.
Sam Fisher's latest was promised by Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot, talking about the company's focus on its key franchises.
"The results of these efforts will be seen as early as this Christmas with one of the industry's most ambitious games line-ups which will include Assassin's Creed 2, James Cameron's Avatar, [and] Splinter Cell Conviction," he said in a statement.
The game is down for "2009-2010" which actually extends into March of next year, but given the game's long gestation we'd be very surprised if it didn't finish up under the Christmas tree with three green lights on top.
