Spill Short - What Does Nick Fury Do?
With everyone looking forward to The Avengers, we did decided to have a little fun with the characters before we see the movie. We also did to answer a question we've asked ourselves for awhile now...

Even after seeing the movie I'm still not sure what he Does, Aside from "believing" in the Avengers which is enough.

I am sure I will be the minority when I say this, but I have found almost none of the original shorts to be funny. Ever since the Watchmen short you guys did way back when, I have notice several overall constant complaints I have had. I only say this because I know you guys have the potential to make some great shorts and this could really help future ideas:
1) The writing just drags on with no forward momentum. It feels like there is little beyond the one joke premise of Nick Fury being useless to carry this short for a couple minutes, let alone five. There needs to be more structure to the pacing of this short because this one really just had no direction. And there needs to just be more happening! This could have just been one joke in a series of gags parodying the Avengers series. When anyone tries to narrow their focus too much, they trap yourselves into trying to mine for whatever material they can find.
2) Seriously, we love you guys but you really need to get better voice actors! Delivery and tone of voice really sell or kill animation and whatever charm the jokes could have had were lost because of that. The way you are doing it here sounds like you are kind of bored (maybe you were not, but it comes across that way) or it is just read too straightforward to allow for any clever inflections or such.
3) The jokes are just not very funny. They are either too overt, totally random or lack a punchline. They need more punch up, build up and timing to make them work. We know you can be very funny in your reviews when you make clever references, quick wit jabs and even some humorous puns (Yes, Cyrus' puns do have charm). Try to work more of that into the shorts because they REALLY need those jokes.
You guys seriously have potential to make these videos funny, but it seems like this is always the problem when I watch these videos. We do not want to complain because we do not like you, but we know you are capable of more.

It is called constructive criticism. They are not ungrateful, they are just stating the problems that they had with the short(ran to long, voices need work) in the hopes that Korey sees their common complaints and fixes them in the next short.

Cool stuff, guys. I especially liked the bit with Thor and the Hulk, that was pretty funny. I'm liking these shorts too, so I hope to see more in the future. Keep up the awesome work!
