Spill New York Get Together - WE HAVE A PLAN!
Looks like I have a plan for tonight. Since it appears we have some under 21s wanting to come out I chose a spot I thought might accommodate them early in the evening. Later I'll meet the more mature crowd at a place where pitchers of beer can be bought for groups of people. So it looks like this:
7 - 9 PM, WILFIE AND NELL
228 W 4TH STREET, NEW YORK, NY 10014
9 - ?, KETTLE OF FISH (where I met a few of you before)
59 CHRISTOPHER ST, NEW YORK, NY 10014
The two spots are very close to each other so if anyone wants to meet us at the first place and follow us to the second bar later it shouldn't be a problem. See you tonight.
I was soooooo looking forward to hanging with a few new York Spillios in October for Comic Con. Then a little music festival I attend every year had to be on the same weekend and ruin my plans. Why don't people call and check with me about these things?!? November comes along, and I think 'Great. I'll be in New York. It won't be Comic Con, but I'm sure I can get a few Spillios out for a night." The the weather had to go and screw up my...
Wait, what is that? The weather will actually be okay this weekend? Well looky there - it appears we have a Saturday without floods or snow storms! Great! So who's up for hanging out?
I know this is short notice, but if anyone is in NYC this Saturday and would like to come out for a evening I'd love to see you. I don't have any big plans myself and I thought maybe you could save me from boredom. And when I say don't have any big plans that means I really haven't planned anything - like where a good place is to gather all you guys. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I know I have a couple of bartender buddies who were eager to help last time.
Once I gather all of the input and get a good idea of how many people are roughly showing up I'll post the details on Saturday morning. For now though, here's what I'm thinking:
