Christian posted a statusWell, we no longer have to just call it "the untitled Spider-Man reboot" - Sony Pictures has just unveiled their brand website for the reboot, which is now officially titled 'The Amazing Spider-Man'.
You can see the page and register for news and updates HERE. In addition to revealing the new landing page and title, they've also released the second official photo of Spider-Man, this time in full costume! (click for hi-res version)
Granted, it's nothing that we haven't seen a dozen (or two) times in the latest unofficial set pics, but this is the first time we've seen the entire costume, properly lit and color-corrected as it will be in the final film. You can clearly see that the new costume varies drastically from previous versions, and even includes the character's signature mechanical webshooters (I'm sure a certain staff animator will be thrilled).
'The Amazing Spider-Man' stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, is being directed by Marc Webb, and is scheduled for release on July 3rd, 2012.

Hot damn, he's got webshooters!
... then there's going to be a bunch of people complaining that "A high schooler could come up with something like blahblahblah"
I'm really digging the suit.

Comment by Jesse Salinas on February 16, 2011 at 11:43am while the lighting makes this photo look alright, still not a fan of this costume. I dont see why they couldn't have just stuck to the classic Steve Ditko design and still have this texture and lighting to it.
Speaking of which.. a darker Spider-man? Give me a break.. please. What part of "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man" says.. gritty and dark? Dark doesn't work for every character.. not everyone is Batman.
Also, I'm tired of the argument, " You just don't like it because it's new and different." Listen fan-boy in denial..
Just because it's New and Different doesn't mean it's Good.
