Sony announces 4K resolution camera (Yes, 4,000 pixel resolution)

http://www.studiodaily.com/main/news/headlines/Sony-Announces-Next-...

Referenced from studiodaily.com

"Sony is revolutionizing digital cinematography with the official unveiling of its much-anticipated next-generation CineAlta camera. The F65 raises the bar in the quest for the “look” of 65mm film, and delivers on its promise to derive true 4K resolution and beyond – at the point of image capture."

Yep, it looks like Blu Ray may already need to step up it's game very soon, becayse Sony has announced their latest video camera, with 20MP stills and 4K resolution.  It can capture film at a blistering 120 frames per second. So, what will this mean for us, the cinema-goers? Well, don't expect the media to jump to it very quickly, but we may see it in future videogame cutscenes, some special films, or cinemas such as IMAX. Compared to the rather lack-lustre 3D "revolution", this is far more appealing to me. :)
