Something Important, but Not Spill/Movie Related
I recently was published in a zine called Sick: A Compilation Zine on Physical Illness that means the world to me.
This small compilation features stories from people suffering from chronic illness, either with themselves or with loved ones, and I wrote a piece about a disorder I've had since I was a child.
It's intense stuff, to say the least, but it's a topic that is considered pretty taboo that honestly shouldn't be. Regardless of age, gender, race and other criteria, we all get sick...some sooner rather than later. Most of the contributors are young, the oldest being about 35, and it really gives great insight on what it's like being young and being sick...or having to deal with someone you love being sick.
Either way, I would be honored if you all would at least check it out and hopefully pick up a copy. Ben, the editor of the zine, has put a lot of hard work and love into this zine, as have its contributors.

As a gold carrying member of the old zippper club, this would most certianly seem like a very intresting read.You do wonder from time to time how many others out there have the same condtion you do and have lived a possible simillar life as a result.
And yeah Tess, I agree.It is a subject that it always sweeped under the rug. As to why, I can only assume that for some it's too closely linked with the fear of dying or whatever. Shocked to see that the oldest person is 35. Really hits that one home.
