You know, I just hate to be the one to say it but... There's a lot of spam down below?

I think it's time we clean these blogs up a bit, but how can we stop them? Many sites are just falling behind on the spamming where it's gotten too far, Youtube being the main one, IGN being another. These sites have fallen back with the comment pages where it's at the point where shit don't matter no more.

So what can we do? The best option is to install somewhere (Atleast for the blogs!) where you need to enter one of those... codes so it knows you're not a computor. They may not stop many spammers, but it's a start, a necessary one at that.

Another option, to say the least, is to have blogs unavaliable till approved of an admin. Doesn't have to be the big man himself, or his
robot companion, but how about some trusted, regular members of the site
to come in and help a little?

I know Spill members aren't on this site every moment of them day, but I sure as hell know I atleast check on it every hour or so, to see if anything new is up, or for the latest podcast... and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Again, this is a great option, and I'm sure it won't be so hard to achieve, but don't just pick anyone! We don't want people with too much responsibility that they cannot handle.

In this case, just make is so some have privilages, and only people you certainly know and trust. We don't want a spill.com food chain of ranks and what not, we're all here for one thing, fun, and no one should have a disadvantage over anyone.

The spill.com community is great, but the last thing WE want, and we seriously do not want this... is spammers ruining this precious site. Please take these ideas into consideration.

I understand that this should have been placed into the forums, where most bullshit belongs, but I won't to show you have much of a problem this is, and how badly it could turn out.

Yeah, me too. But I've got like umpteen million bruises from unsuccessfully trying to vibrate through my wall. So I'm thinking I might have to call it a day.

For the record, Spill has considerably less spam than other sites. You know why? Because once a day (unpaid) I personally go hunting for it to delete it. We can't afford to pay somebody to do it (apparently) so I get rid of it in my spare moments. That spam you're freaking on JUST appeared. What am I, the Flash?

Didn't bother to read through and spell check...
