After seeing this film in December i have been waiting for the DVD release. Like all DVD releases i want to see what kind of fun extras it might include. Making of? Interviews with my favorite directors? Great commentary tracks?

Slumdog Millionaire came out on DVD today so i rushed out to pick up a copy and view the film again. I went to Target and bought a copy that came with a copy of the shooting script which is fantastic. I read a portion at Borders today. I thought, "This DVD release is going to be great and have features that cause me to love the film even more"

On the back of the box it says,

Special Features
Making of...
12 deleted scenes
commentary track w/ D. Boyle
and more!!!

(Dont you just love the, "and more" crap. That usually means it sucks and they dont want to tell you what it is.

But hey a making of and a commentary track are enough for me. I get home and pop the movie in, then go right to the features.

WTF? trailers? Where are my special features? I click through everything possible to try and find my making of crap. Its no where to be found!

I think well maybe i at least have a commentary track in the "Audio options" section. Nothing! This is complete bull crap!

This DVD is from the slums

I kid you not i looked through every menu on this piece of crap DVD! The Special features add up to a total of 4 trailers i can see online for free. I hate you Target! or Fox! who ever is responsible for giving be a bull crap DVD release.

The Film is amazing but i got screwed on my DVD release. Let me know if this happens to you.

I hope they can make a 2-Disc DVD, I loved the hell out of Slumdog Millionaire, I had the same problem with The Departed DVD I got a year ago, It said it had features, but it only had a trailer.

My sister's replacement DVD came in when I got my Amazon order. Got the same problem, but they are sending me a replacement as well. I hope your problem has been settled.

My sister in VA is having the same problem. No Special Features and a non-working Customer Service number. This is not looking good for me, and my tracking info shows that my order is in my state.

Well, crap. If it is widespread, like that thread said, I'm as good as screwed. I knew I should have gotten the Blu-ray.

Thanks for your post! I had the same problem and thought I was just going crazy. I even exchanged the DVD thinking it was a faulty copy and found the same issue on disc 2. I found another post online mentioning the same problem. This post said that the person called the main target number (1-888-223-4369) and discussed the problem with the customer service rep. I guess all of the DVD's are missing the extras. This person said they are being sent a special features disc in the mail. Hope this helps. Here's the site I found the info on: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-talk/552588-slumdog-millionaire-replacement-program-info.html

Well you can't trust Fox with Foreign releases. Remember when they released "Nightwatch" with no original Russian audio.

Sounds like someone in the factory gave you the "rental" copy instead of the "purchased" copy of the movie.

Here's hoping I don't encounter that same problem, as mine is coming from Amazon.com some time this week.
