Your Kill Bill comment felt like it was plucked from my mind almost verbatim. It did feel like we were getting a double feature about the same characters, but in two different genres. There's even that darker turn that sequels tend to take here. If nothing else, QT accomplished the neo-grindhouse formula: make movies longer.

Great Review. Miss the PCP reviews.

How many vengeance films has QT done? Something like two, I think. Interesting how well he did giving those characters dimension but here, he goes too straight and narrow. Wonder if such a long film could have been split in 2 like Kill Bill and then the entire cast would have more material to breathe life into their roles.
