TheoPatrick Talley posted a statusI know, I know. There's been a lot of 'Iron Man 3' news of late, but with 'The Avengers' now out of the way, it makes sense that attention is beginning to be focused on the next big Marvel movie in production. Recently, these images from the set were released that suggest that the Iron Man Patriot Armor will be making an appearance in the next movie. Apparently, and I'll freely admit this was foreign to me a few hours ago, the Patriot Armor was developed by Norman Osborn and modeled after images of Iron Man and Captain America. It was shut down after the Siege of Asgard and destroyed during Red Skull's invasion of America.
So that's like, what, four different character mythologies wrapped up in one gimmicky suit? The actor in the image is James Badge Dale who was recently confirmed to be playing lesser known villain Savin in Shane Black's upcoming film. My guess is Savin was brought in to stand in for Osborn since Sony still has the rights to Spider-Man, and therefore his rogues gallery. In any event, these are some pretty cool, if unfortunately blurry images. Take a look and tell us what you think.

Comment by John Lemus on June 2, 2012 at 8:16am Well this suit does not have an arch reactor. It actually sucks. Osbourn did not have the technical skills to pilot it with the Arch Reactor and the repulsers so he modified it and made it much weaker. Tony was able to take it down easily.
What worries me is yes this movie has too many villains and the story will be spread too thing so we may A get a few cameos from either the other avengers in it or B some more War Machine. The other thing is why was this suit created in the first place and how in the movie?
Now they say this will have an Extremis like story which to me sounds like bull because in Extremis Tony gets his ass handed to him on a silver platter and almost dies. The Extremis Storyline plays out a little like Batman Knight Fall which was part of the source material for Rise of The Dark Knight.
Personally I loved the First Ironman, Enjoyed the second one but not as much as the first so I think this movie has a very good chance of being a complete crap fest but I am hoping that it is at least as good as the second. Which really is not saying much. I think its biggest Weakness was indeed Justin Theroux. He has done some good work in the past but he last couple of movies have been crap. I like your Highness It is a good Fantasy Stoner Movie but that is pretty much it. Megamind sucked and I hate Parks Recration but I love America Psycho.
I mean honestly I feel the only reason the first one was so Fucking Good was Jon Favreau and Mark Fergus
I mean Shane Black is a good action writer and Directer but he is just not a comic book guy. I mean come one they might as well call this the Last Lethal Action Ironman,
Comment by Microshock on June 2, 2012 at 3:45am This problem has to do with Tony Stark's ENEMIES. I understand them having to be similar, but every enemy he fights needs to have a similar looking suit? Come on. It's getting worn out.
At least put the Arc reactor in a different place :/
Comment by Boatloads1017 on June 1, 2012 at 11:43pm Tony just can't keep people's hands off his suits. Seriously, you'd think he'd have better security.
Comment by John Lemus on June 1, 2012 at 10:43am Sony owns the movie rights to Spiderman and its characters therefore it owns the rights to use Norman Osborn so that is why they put Savin in the Armor
Comment by nerdilicouse?! on June 1, 2012 at 10:20am We just posted yesterday that this is NOT TONI STARK!!!! Jesus, these are the people that will be saying they loved the comic story AFTER the movie destroys the fact that Norman Osborn is the one that made this suit.... I hate band jumpers
Comment by John Lemus on June 1, 2012 at 9:54am If I remember correctly one of the times this suit was created was in memory of Captain America after they killed him off. Then Norman Osborn Stole it from Tony Stark I think after The Skrull Invasion and the formation of H.A.M.M.E.R. But that could well be two different time lines.
I know one of them is the Dark Avengers series.

Comment by George Doctanian on June 1, 2012 at 4:10am The suit isn't really that bad, people just want an excuse to bitch and whine.
Comment by D.E.S. on June 1, 2012 at 2:25am Yeah, that suit is wack!
