Second 'Hobbit' Production Journal!
Director Peter Jackson has posted up the second in a series of production journals from the set of his upcoming 'Hobbit' films, posted directly to his official Facebook page. In this entry, Jackson speaks with Gollum actor Andy Serkis, who is actually serving as second unit director on the two films as well. Once again however (because we want to be fair to people), we have to include the following advisory:
*WARNING* This is a production journal. They discuss the film, the story, and various elements of the production. If you're one of those people who don't want to have absolutely anything spoiled for you (even though the book has been out for over 70 years and there was an animated film already), then just close the page now, return back to your hyperbaric chamber, and come back out when the film gets released. *WARNING*
'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' will be released in theaters nationwide on December 14th, 2012.

Pandora be damned! I just want to live in the Shire!
I'm excited to see Andy Serkis taking on the challenge of being a second unit director. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up filming some excellent stuff, because he seems to be fairly exceptional in everything he's does. Also, I think having a friend as a second unit director will help to take some of the stress off of Peter. For example, Peter just saying, "It's all yours, just give us a good battle." Must be a relief for him.
