Theredknite posted a statusAfter an interview with Eurogamer yesterday the CEO of Telltale Games seemed to be inferring that we would be not being seeing the next season of their critically acclaimed adventure game The Walking Dead until fall of 2014. The news was a bit depressing for fans of the game as after the rate at which they pumped out the previous season's episodes, such a long wait time was disheartening. Luckily for all of us today Game Informer reached out to Telltale to confirm the information given to Eurogamer and they replied with the following statement, "The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series."
Hell. Fucking. Yes. Anyone who has played The Walking Dead game has most likely already gushed to you about the intricate story and well developed characters Telltale made with the game. So any news that means we will be getting even more of that world is going to be some of the best part of a fan's week. Not only will we be getting more, but in a recent interview with IGN Executive Producer at Telltale said that your save games will carry over to season two. Also that choices you made during season one will have effect on how your story plays out in the new season. Choice is one of the main factors in why fans fell so in love with the game as it gives the player the feeling that they themselves are crafting the story rather than just acting it out. No word yet on if you will be able to transfer your save games from the PS3 to the PS4 yet, but expect more news on that as we get closer to fall.
Are you eagerly awaiting season two of The Walking Dead? Will not being able to transfer saves affect which console you buy it on? Let me know what you think in the comment section below.

Comment by CHEEZYSPAM on March 7, 2013 at 3:51pm I'm not a huge fan of how Telltale usually does their games. I thought Back to the Future was slow and Jurassic Park wasn't really doing anything for me. I downloaded the demo for TWD and I felt it was all more of the same.
However, after all the hype surrounding the game I finally gave in and played through it (in fact I just finished the final chapter last night). And HOLY. SHIT. I couldn't believe how amazing it was! I was extremely lucky to avoid any and all spoilers!
I had to get in the mindset that it was less of a "game" and more of an interactive story. I think I learned to appreciate it more after that.
Having said that, I can't wait for a 2nd season! I wasn't aware there was even talk about one until now! I'm really interested to see who the main character is. I'm really kind hoping it takes place several years later when Clem is a little older and she could be the main star of the show. I think growing up in that kind of world and having to experience what she's had to see would be a great catalyst for continuing her story. I think regardless it all has to be centered around her.
