Screenwriter's Gem - Bob's Burgers Review!

I love comedy, when it's done right like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, South Park or Modern Family it can brighten up a long day. But when comedy is done poorly like, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and sadly, The Simpsons, it can piss you off. Bob's Burgers is a great comedy with excellent jokes, "Tina, don't put your hand in", and has a simple story of a family run restaurant trying to stay afloat along a grocery list of problems. The writing is pretty sharp, and I enjoyed the characters because they all have their own style and uniqueness about them. This isn't like all the other cartoon shows on Fox where the joke matters more then the character.

Here, the characters are what create the comedy. Kristen Schaal is the best one of them all with lines that will leave you with tears of laughter. Child Molester Burger? Priceless! The Pilot's story revolves around Bob (H. Jon Benjamin, Archer) and his wife who are having martial problems and when Louise (Kristen) tells people in school that their restaurant serves human flesh, the health inspector arrives for more comedic one liners.

Overall, the writing was good, the story sort of veered off course near the end. Ultimately, this show will grow into a true comedy show for Fox. Finally, a show on Fox we're laughing with, not at! Overall: 3.5 out of 5. Can't wait for the second episode!
